Critical Links develops and markets edgeBOX, the first Unified Communications Appliance or "Office-in-a-Box" that provides all the vital voice and data communication services required by SMB’s or Branch-Offices, out of a single remotely managed device, and at a SMB price point.

Critical Links was spun-off in 2006 from Critical Software Inc, a successful IT services company specializing in real-time systems for defense, aerospace and telecommunications and solid reputation for software reliability (CMM-5, ISO9001, Spice).

Critical Links is a venture backed company headquartered in Fairfield, New Jersey, and with offices in Portugal, United Kingdom and India. The edgeBOX product is commercialized worldwide through a network of channel partners including Resellers and service Providers. Worldwide there’s an estimated 100.000 users currently being served by edgeBOX in five continents, and growing rapidly.

The edgeBOX aims to capture the massive SMB market opportunity created by low cost broadband internet access and migration to VoIP that generates demand for sophisticated, reliable, integrated, low-cost, and easy-to use communication services.

The SMB technology segment is one of the fastest growing worldwide. In the US alone there’s 20 million potential customers, and a total of 87 million worldwide (AMI, 2008).

The edgeBOX addresses SMB’s and Branch-Offices with between 10 and 300 users.
Critical Links has also established partnerships with key industry players that enhance the product value proposition, and add value to the end users, including Intel (Platforms), Polycom (Phones) and Digium/Asterisk (TDM cards).
