Critical Links Announces Expansion to the Asia Pacific and ASEAN Region

Entry into ASEAN region is a result of growing global acceptance of micro-cloud architectures for e-Learning and sustainable education

Princeton, NJ – October 23, 2019 – Critical Links, the leader in micro-cloud solutions for e-learning, today announced its expansion into the Asia Pacific and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. The efforts will be headed by the company’s new sales director, Azam Khan, who will be based in Kuala Lumpur. The company is seeing increased interest in the deployment of C3 Micro-Clouds throughout the region in urban and rural schools, due to the ability to provide quality e-learning even in infrastructure-challenged environments.
The ASEAN, a trade-driven block of 10 Southeast Asian nations, has gained tremendous momentum in recent years and is now home to some of the world’s fastest growing emerging markets. Its combined gross domestic product (GDP) of US$2.4 trillion makes it the third largest economy in Asia and the seventh largest, globally. One of the greatest challenges faced by the region is developing a future workforce that can compete on the global stage, and educational infrastructure must be addressed in order to fulfill this objective.

“I’m excited to join this team, and by the potential that our micro-cloud architecture holds to increase the level of education, progress, and workforce development in the region,” stated Azam Khan, Regional Representative. “ASEAN governments are committed to increasing both investment and outcomes in the educational sector, and this proven solution has already overcome the very same challenges that we are facing in other regions of the world with a fast, powerful return on investment.”

Critical Links will be expanding upon existing success in the region, such as projects in Philippines and Myanmar in which the C3 Micro-Cloud has enabled education authorities to enhance educational outcomes even in the face of severe infrastructure limitations. In Philippines, the C3 Micro-Cloud has significantly improved outcomes in the areas of attendance, promotion and retention; since the technology program was introduced, the average National Achievement Test scores have increased by 24 percent. In Myanmar, Critical Links micro-clouds were deployed in rural schools supporting over 30,000 students and 310 teachers, with similar positive results.

The C3 Micro-Cloud is already in use in more than 55 countries globally reaching almost 3 million students, especially in schools where infrastructure and connectivity challenges normally keep students from benefitting from e-Learning and global knowledge paradigms.
“Our expansion into the ASEAN region marks a milestone moment in our growth. ASEAN’s economic performance is full of potential and continues to outperform the global average. The region’s investment prospects look strong and consistently post impressive growth,” stated Charles Foley, Chairman of the Board for the company. “The excellent market acceptance through our other projects in the region are clearly proof of how technology can enable any school, anywhere in the world, to cross the digital divide in Education”.
