FAQs

What is a C3 Micro-Cloud?

The C3 Micro-Cloud is a self-contained learning platform designed to simplify the delivery and access to digital content anywhere, even without an internet connection. Implemented directly in the classrooms or schools, this device creates a local Wi-Fi network that simulates an internet connection, allowing students to use e-learning tools and explore a wide range of resources without relying on an active connection. The platform provides access to a vast array of locally available educational materials, including videos, books, simulations, interactive maps, educational games, applications, and encyclopedias.

In addition to the pre-included content, users can upload their own materials, offering the flexibility to personalize the learning experience according to their specific needs and preferences. This customization enhances the educational process by integrating additional resources and tools that align with each user’s unique objectives.

The C3 Micro-Cloud also integrates a Learning Management System (LMS) and network optimization features, ensuring efficient management of educational activities and maintaining optimal performance. When connected to the internet, the C3 Micro-Cloud leverages connectivity to further enhance the user experience by caching and filtering it, utilizing online resources and functionalities to maximize its potential and provide an enriched educational environment.

What benefits does the C3 Micro-Cloud bring to my classrooms/schools? does the C3 Micro-Cloud ecosystem bring to the classroom?

The C3 Micro-Cloud offers numerous benefits for classrooms and schools, transforming the learning environment into an interactive space, even in areas where internet connectivity is unstable or nonexistent.

Below are some of the key advantages of the C3 Micro-Cloud

Works in every scenario: Operates autonomously, allowing for continuous use whether the school is fully connected, partially connected, or without internet access. Even with limited power sources, such as solar panels, the system continues to function.

Immediate access to content and applications: It provides quick access to a vast repository of local content and applications, such as encyclopedias, videos, books, dictionaries, and various educational applications. It is possible to integrate Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle and Canvas to enhance the learning experience.

Standardization and equality: Promotes the standardization of the e-learning environment across schools, ensuring that all students, regardless of location, have access to the same high-quality resources and equivalent educational experiences.

Optimization of bandwidth consumption: It includes integrated tools, such as caching and filtering, that allow for efficient use of network resources, reducing unnecessary bandwidth consumption.

Advanced security: The system protects the school's internal network and allows for the creation of flexible internet usage policies. Teachers can have broader access, while students are limited to pre-approved websites, contributing to effective bandwidth management.

Remote content updates: Through C3 Cloud Control, administrators can easily distribute new content and manage users across multiple devices, saving time and reducing costs.

Intuitive and easy to use: Designed for school environments with little IT experience, the C3 Micro-Cloud offers a simple and accessible interface. The platform can be managed and administered remotely, ensuring smooth implementation and operation for both teachers and students.

Can the C3 Micro-Cloud be used in urban schools that already have Wi-Fi infrastructure and an internet connection?

Yes, the C3 Micro-Cloud can be used in urban schools that already have Wi-Fi infrastructure and an internet connection, ensuring a better user experience.

Even with a reliable connection, schools often face challenges in managing bandwidth, which can lead to slow performance and disrupt effective online learning.

In this context, the C3 Micro-Cloud offers an effective solution by enabling fast access to cached content and applications, reducing the need for continuous internet downloads. With advanced features such as whitelisting/ blacklisting and Internet caching and bandwidth management, the system optimizes network efficiency. By minimizing bandwidth consumption, the C3 Micro-Cloud enhances overall internet speed, ensuring a smoother and more effective e-learning experience for both students and teachers.

Can the C3 Micro-Cloud be used in schools without internet or in rural schools with limited infrastructure?

Yes, the C3 Micro-Cloud is ideal for schools without internet access or those located in rural areas with limited infrastructure. It is designed to operate efficiently in environments without connectivity, providing a complete and immersive e-learning experience without relying on an internet connection allowing the school community to access digital content and applications as if they were accessing online web pages. For schools with limited infrastructure, there are models of the C3 Micro-Cloud that consume minimal energy and can even be powered by solar panels or external batteries. These models ensure that the system continues to operate even in locations with unstable or non-existent power supply, allowing students to have uninterrupted access to educational materials and continue learning without interruptions.

Can I use my own digital contents and resources with the C3 Micro-Cloud?

Absolutely! The C3 Micro-Cloud allows teachers to enrich their lessons by seamlessly integrating their own digital content—such as videos, PDFs, PowerPoint presentations, and other formats—alongside the preloaded resources. This flexibility enables educators to combine high-quality, preloaded content with their unique materials, creating dynamic and engaging learning experiences tailored to their students' needs. By blending these resources, teachers can foster a more personalized and interactive classroom environment, enhancing their teaching methods.

Does the C3 Micro-Cloud come with any digital content?

Yes, the C3 Micro-Cloud is pre-loaded with a rich array of digital content designed to enhance and transform the classroom experience. The resources include educational videos, interactive games, dynamic simulations, books, encyclopedias, interactive maps, and educational applications, all aimed at making each lesson more interactive and engaging.

What is the C3 Cloud Control?

The C3 Cloud Control is a centralized platform designed for the remote management of multiple C3 Micro-Clouds. It allows administrators to manage content, applications, users, configurations, and system updates across various micro-clouds, both in environments with internet access and in remote locations without connectivity.

In environments with internet, content distribution and updates happen in real time, ensuring schools are always up to date instantly. For schools without reliable internet access, the platform generates automatic installers that are manually applied via USB drives. These updates are transferred to the C3 Micro-Clouds through the USB, ensuring that even offline schools remain synchronized and function properly.

Additionally, the C3 Cloud Control collects and centralizes usage statistics, providing an easy overview of content views, user activity, disk usage, and the online/offline status of the micro-clouds. This flexibility ensures that all schools, whether connected or not, benefit from a consistent and efficient educational experience, optimizing the learning environment.

I have a mixed environment with some schools connected and some not connected to internet. How can we manage this scenario to distribute content and aggregate usage statistics?

School administrators can easily manage and synchronize curriculum content across multiple schools, including those in remote or challenging environments, using the C3 Micro-Cloud. Through the C3 Cloud Control portal, updates are applied to authorized C3 Micro-Clouds whenever they connect to the internet, even if the connection is only intermittent. For offline schools, updates can be transferred via a USB flash drive and automatically deployed when connected to the C3 Micro-Cloud. Statistics can also be loaded onto the same USB flash drive and then transferred back to C3 Cloud Control. This centralized management system ensures that all content, applications, users, configurations, and system updates are consistently maintained, providing a unified educational experience across different regions or even nationwide.

Is any special training required to use the C3 Micro-Cloud?

The C3 Micro-Cloud was designed with the understanding that many teachers may have limited digital skills.
