Critical Links Announces Continued Growth and Profitability

Global adoption of C3 Micro-Cloud to enable e-Learning, access to global knowledge and advanced resources has reached over 2 million students

Princeton, NJ – May 29, 2019 – Critical Links, the leader in micro-cloud solutions for e-learning, today announced continued business momentum from 2018. Subsequent to the Annual Shareholder Meeting held in May, the company has publicly announced significant growth in revenue, gross margins, and unit shipments globally for the 2018 year. These results confirm that the C3 solution is seeing increased acceptance by schools and education ministries all over the world, allowing them to deliver world-class, globalized learning regardless of connectivity or infrastructure limitations.
The company announced that in 2018, the company saw revenue growth in excess of 25%, while gross margins increased by 5% over the prior year. During the year, the company delivered two significant new C3 releases (4.0 and 4.1), which include the ability to cache secure content, enhanced management capabilities including statistics reporting on micro-cloud and content usage, increased centralized control through the C3 Cloud, and stronger lesson/class planning capabilities for teachers. Further, the company forged significant alliances with companies such as Boxlight Corporation (NASDAQ: BOXL) and Ricoh enabling them to leverage micro-cloud technology in their efforts to deliver complete solutions for education worldwide.
In 2018, major projects to deploy micro-clouds for education included those in Mexico (800+ schools), Brazil (1,300+ classrooms), South Africa (250+ classrooms) and Portugal (300+ schools). With 2018’s market expansion, the C3 Micro-Cloud solution is now in use in over 55 countries, reaching over 2 million students. The majority of these systems are deployed in developing countries, where infrastructure and connectivity challenges normally keep students from benefitting from e-Learning and global knowledge paradigms, and provide these 2 million young people access to knowledge and education resources on par with their peers from more developed countries.

“The C3 Micro-Cloud solution has continued to show excellent market acceptance through 2018. Our focus on enabling e-Learning in schools challenged by issues with infrastructure, security, or standardization has proven itself, generating stronger momentum as we exited the year. Our global partner network introduced this technology to major projects that increase the availability of sustainable education worldwide, and we remain committed to the success of these strategic partners,” stated Charles Foley, Chairman of the Board for the company. “Our 2019 roadmap – which is based upon requirements presented by large customers and strategic partners – is strong and should continue our market lead in innovation. We expect continued growth in both revenues and margins for the year, as we continue to make a difference for millions of children across world.”
